Poh Nattawut Seeks Opportunity to Prove Acting Skills in New Drama Role

Bangkok: Veteran actor Phor Nattawut recently expressed his desire for a fair chance to portray Director Jenphop in the upcoming 2026 remake of the drama "Rang Ngao." Amid some criticisms of his suitability for the role, Nattawut remains optimistic about his ability to convincingly play a womanizing character. He and his wife, Ae Porntip, attended an event as presenters for a dietary supplement, where he discussed the role and the feedback he has received. Nattawut stated, "I understand all the criticisms, but please let me work first. I believe that after watching the whole drama, everyone won't be disappointed."

According to Thai News Agency, Ae Porntip defended her husband against critics, stating that they might not know his capabilities well enough. She commented on his past as a ladies' man and assured that she is not concerned about his portrayal affecting public perception. Porntip emphasized her support for Nattawut's career, including love scenes, as she believes in allowing him to work without obstacles or anxiety. She jokingly added that if she were offered similar roles, she would expect the same support from him.

During the event, Nattawut mentioned that the script for the drama has not been finalized, so he is unsure about the number of love scenes. However, he expressed relief at having his wife's support. He also addressed concerns over content that features the "Mutta-Nopnapa" falling down the stairs, stating that such content could be dangerous.

In a personal update, Ae Porntip shared that she has fully recovered from her health issues but continues to maintain her health vigilantly. She exercises regularly to aid in her recovery and undergoes biannual medical checkups due to the potential return of cancerous cells. Porntip highlighted the importance of avoiding dust as part of her ongoing health management.
