Police set up checkpoints to arrest a gang of young bikers racing on Vibhavadi Road, arresting more than 60 vehicles.
More than 60 police officers set up a checkpoint to arrest a group of motorcycle racers on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road last night after receiving clues on social media about a gathering to view the light decorations on Chulalongkorn Day. They were able to arrest a total of 68 offenders, 22 of whom were found guilty of attempted street racing and driving without regard for safety. They included both minors and adults. This group will be taken to court today for consideration of the case. The other 46 were fined according to the Land Traffic Act, such as not having a license plate and modifying the condition of the vehicle.
