Songkhla: The Commissioner General of Police has issued a directive for the immediate arrest of the individual responsible for the cruel treatment of a dog named "Molly".
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chaitpoj Suwannarak, Commander of the Personnel Office and Deputy Spokesperson of the Royal Thai Police, announced that an incident of animal cruelty had been reported, sparking public outrage and widespread media coverage. The distressing event involved a Siberian Husky named "Molly" who was subjected to horrific abuse when she was doused with oil and set on fire on February 13, 2026, within the jurisdiction of the Songkhla City Police Station, leading to her death.
Police General Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, has directed the Commander of Provincial Police Region 9 and the Commander of Songkhla Provincial Police to oversee and expedite the investigation and arrest of the perpetrator. This action is aimed at ensuring swift justice, transparency in the investigation process, and adherence to the guidelines set by the National Police Office.
