Bang lamung: Police surrounded the home of a man who fatally shot his wife at a kindergarten in Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. They are coordinating with his youngest son to try and persuade him to surrender. Meanwhile, the Chonburi governor immediately ordered the school temporarily closed.

According to Thai News Agency, Police Lieutenant Thasapong shot his 48-year-old wife, Pailin, at a kindergarten in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. After the incident, he fled to his residence in a local village. Police have surrounded the house, and there is no response from inside. Authorities have contacted relatives and his youngest son to help persuade him to surrender safely.

Neighbors stated that they had previously spoken with Thasapong, who mentioned health problems and inquired about early retirement and the money he would receive.

Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong inspected the scene and revealed that he has ordered a temporary school closure and dispatched a team to provide psychological support to the children and staff involved in the incident. The cause and motive for the incident are still under investigation, including the collection of evidence and interviews with witnesses, in order to proceed according to legal procedures.
