Poo Manthana Sentenced to Two Years in Jail for False Accusation Against Lukmee

Bangkok: Poo Manthana has been sentenced to two years in prison without suspension for filing a false police report against Lukmee Rasmi. The Bangkok South Criminal Court delivered its verdict in this case, where Rasmi Thongsiripraisri, known as Lukmee, was the plaintiff, and Manthana Himathongkam was the defendant.

According to Thai News Agency, the verdict was pronounced at a hearing scheduled at 9:00 AM on June 22, 2026. Lukmee, accompanied by her lawyer, expressed confidence in the evidence presented to the court, citing a previous civil court ruling that cleared her of any involvement in loan sharking or other alleged wrongdoings.

The court found Poo Manthana guilty of filing a false police report and defamation, considering the public profiles of both parties involved. The examination of evidence, including chat conversations on the LINE application, revealed that discussions between the plaintiff and defendant centered on business investment rather than loans, which would typically involve talks of interest rates.

The court concluded that Manthana knowingly filed a false complaint to have Lukmee punished, constituting defamation. Consequently, she was sentenced to two years imprisonment without suspension. This case is distinct from other legal issues involving Manthana, where she has faced various charges and sentences.

In other related cases, Manthana received a two-year prison sentence for fraud involving an individual named "Aom," a similar sentence for the "Little Bear" fraud case, and suspended sentences for defamation cases against Lukmee and lawyer Kung. Additionally, she was sentenced to two years without suspension for filing another false police report against the bear cub.

Following the verdict, Lukmee expressed relief that the court's decision cleared her of loan shark accusations, despite her profession as a modeling instructor. She acknowledged the difficulty in gathering all necessary evidence beforehand but felt vindicated by the outcome. However, she anticipated that Manthana might appeal the decision through legal procedures.
