Postpone again! Open for electric energy round 2

Bangkok, The Energy Regulatory Commission postponed the announcement of the second round of renewable energy power purchases for another 3.2 thousand megawatts after the Administrative Court. There is a temporary protection order in the dispute between EA's subsidiary company and the Energy Regulatory Commission. News reports from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) report that it is currently preparing to explain to the Central Administrative Court after the court ordered on March 5 temporary protection of the dispute between Wind Kalasin 2 Company Limited, which is Subsidiary company of Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (EA) and government agencies, namely the Energy Regulatory Commission Office and the Energy Regulatory Commission. The EA group filed a lawsuit against the Energy Regulatory Commission for 3 projects, consisting of 1. Thep Sathit Wind Farm wind farm project, size 90 megawatts. This project has ended after the Phetchaburi Administrative Court dismissed the lawsuit against the Energy Regulatory Commission on December 7, 2023, 2. The Win project. Khon Kaen 2, with a production capacity of 90 megawatts, which the Energy Regulatory Commission has already explained to the court, and 3. Wind Kalasin 2 project, for which the Energy Regulatory Commission will prepare information to explain to the court next. The Energy Regulatory Commission is confident that the selection of renewable energy power generation projects in the form of Feed-in Tariff (FiT) for the year 2022-2030 will be considered. For the group with no fuel costs, the first round followed the steps. But it must be acknowledged that signing a PPA for a 1,500 megawatt wind power project will be affected. It cannot yet be done. Because we have to wait for the court's decision first, including the opening of the second round of renewable energy purchases, approximately 3,600 megawatts, must be postponed first.
