Hat yai: Electricity at Hat Yai Hospital has been restored, as announced by the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) this morning. The restoration comes after severe flooding in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, necessitated power cuts for public safety.
According to Thai News Agency, the PEA confirmed that power would be restored to Hat Yai Hospital at precisely 6:01 a.m. on November 25, 2025. The flooding had caused significant disruption, leading to power outages in several areas. A Facebook user named “Pasiyah Tao” shared a message highlighting the dedication of nurses caring for young children during the power and water shortages at the hospital. Despite the challenging conditions, the nurses assured parents of their commitment to providing excellent care.
In response to the crisis, the PEA, led by Mr. Phiraphol Puranachote, Deputy Governor, and Mr. Samran Khunrit, Assistant Governor of the Provincial Electricity Authority Region 3 (Southern Region), Yala Province, visited various affected locations, including Kanchanawanit Road, Khlong Wae Road, and several power stations.
