Bangkok: PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) has announced that Mr. Preedee Daochai has resigned from his roles as Chairman and Independent Chairman, effective February 16, 2026. The resignation, which comes before the completion of his term, was communicated to the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Preedee cited other commitments as the reason for stepping down. He had taken on the roles at PTTGC on November 15, 2023. Mr. Preedee's career includes a brief tenure as Thailand's Minister of Finance in 2020, where he resigned shortly after due to health issues. Additionally, he has held prominent positions in the banking sector, including Managing Director of Kasikornbank and President of the Thai Bankers Association.

Mr. Preedee is currently serving as Director and Chairman of Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), a role he began on January 9, 2026. Prior to this, he was the Independent Director and Chairman of GULF.
