Bangkok: Cabinet Minister Anutin's second term commenced with the arrival at Government House to have their photos taken for their identification cards before swearing-in to the King. Minister Anutin 2 and 3, along with other ministers, gradually arrived at Government House for the necessary formalities.
According to Thai News Agency, the Cabinet Secretariat organized a gathering for the new Cabinet members at the Santi Maitri Building in Government House. They first had their identification photos and screenings, followed by a group photo in front of the Thai Khu Fah Building. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul then led the new Cabinet members in vehicles provided by the Secretariat to Amporn Sathan Palace in Dusit Palace for the swearing-in ceremony. The atmosphere at Government House was lively, with numerous Members of Parliament present. The newly appointed ministers drew significant attention, while the incumbent ministers interacted amicably with the media.
Earlier, the Prime Minister arrived at Government House in his private electric car, accompanied by some cabinet ministers, to pay respects to sacred objects in the Thai Khu Fah building. Among those present were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mrs. Supajee Suthamphan; Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Pakorn Nilapraphan; Minister of Energy, Mr. Ekanat Promphan; Minister of Industry, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa; and Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, a Bhumjaithai Party list MP soon to serve as the Prime Minister's Secretary.
After the respects were paid, the Prime Minister had his photo taken for the Cabinet members' identification cards. He then prepared to lead the Cabinet members to the audience with His Majesty the King for the oath of office at Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace, at 7:00 PM. Following the ceremony, he will chair a special Cabinet meeting at the Santi Maitri Building (Outer Wing) of Government House at 8:00 PM. The meeting's main agenda is to acknowledge the draft government policy statement for presentation to Parliament on April 9-10.
Furthermore, Mr. Ekniti, as the chairman of the committee reviewing the fuel price structure, will brief the Cabinet on discussions with refinery businesses aimed at improving the wholesale price structure of oil at the refinery gate.
Reporters noted that Ms. Suksomruay Wantaniyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, moved her belongings into her new office on the 4th floor of Building 1, previously occupied by Mr. Santi Piyathat. Additionally, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan's team inspected her office on the 3rd floor of Building 1, as did Ms. Suphamas Isarabhakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, who will continue using her former office in Building 1.
