Bangkok: The Prime Minister praised “Pro Gino” for winning the CME Grand Championship for two consecutive years. Prime Minister Anutin praised Pro Gino Atthaya for winning the CME Grand Prize for two consecutive years and is preparing to invite him to the Government House to thank him for bringing fame to Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, congratulated and praised Atthaya “Pro Gino” Thitikul, the world’s number one female golfer, after she won the CME Group Tour Championship in the United States for the second consecutive year. She achieved a remarkable performance and a combined score of 26-under par, making history for Thai golf. The Prime Minister praised Pro Gino’s performance and thanked her for bringing joy and pride to the Thai people and for recognizing the potential of Thais competing in world-class competitions.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Pro Gino’s success will serve as a significant inspiration for Thai youth and demonstrate that Thais can develop themselves to reach world-class levels.
Upon Pro Gino’s return to Thailand, the Prime Minister will invite Pro Gino, his family, and coach to Government House to express his thanks and formal congratulations. This honor and encouragement is a tribute to all Thai athletes.
The Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation for the Thai athletes participating in the event. Both award winners, such as Pajaree “Promeow” Anannarukarn, who finished second, and non-award winners, acknowledged that the athletes had thoroughly trained for their participation in a world-class competition. The government is ready to support all Thai athletes, as sports not only bring national fame, but also develop the potential of the nation and generate lasting economic value.
