Prime Minister Anutin to Inaugurate 19th Krabi Vegetarian Festival

Krabi: The Prime Minister will open the “Krabi Vegetarian Festival” on October 24th, marking the commencement of a significant cultural event aimed at promoting tourism and cultural heritage in the southern region of Krabi Province.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Paradorn Prisananantakul, Culture Minister Sabida Thaiset, and Deputy Minister of Interior Sasithorn Kittithornkul, will travel to Krabi Province for an inspection tour.

The itinerary includes a policy address by the Prime Minister at 1:30 PM to local government officials and administrators at The Platinum Hall in Mueang Krabi District. Following this, he will preside over the opening ceremony of the 19th Krabi Vegetarian Festival at the Krabi City Pillar Shrine. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet with the local community at Wat Kaew Korawaram, a royal temple in the district.

Later in the afternoon, at 4:15 PM, the Prime Minister will engage with the Krabi Provincial Administrative Organization’s housewives group and local health volunteers, again at The Platinum Hall. His visit will conclude with the inauguration of the Central Krabi shopping center before his return to Bangkok.

Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the Prime Minister is emphasizing grassroots economic development and community strengthening as part of the government’s policy. The visit aims to leverage cultural and traditional events to foster robust communities and a stable economy, ensuring sustainable growth across the region.
