Bangkok: “Big Lek” has disclosed that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will be the one to sign the Thailand-Cambodia agreement during his visit to Malaysia, maintaining the usual protocol.
According to Thai News Agency, General Nataphol Nakphanit, Minister of Defense, arrived at Government House on October 25, 2015, at around 10:00 a.m. to attend a special cabinet meeting. This meeting was convened in response to the announcement of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and was chaired by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the Minister of the Interior.
Before the meeting commenced, General Nataphol addressed questions regarding whether the signing of a peace treaty or the declaration of Thai-Cambodian relations would proceed. He expressed his belief that it would move forward, but noted that the final decision rests with the Prime Minister, who will be participating in the ASEAN Summit.
General Nataphol further confirmed that the Prime Minister is set to travel to Malaysia for the agreement signing and that he would personally sign the document, as is customary.
