Phuket: The Prime Minister has committed to taking action against influential groups in Phuket that are posing threats to the local population. During a visit to Bang Tao Beach, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul emphasized his determination to address the issue by labeling these groups as mere "thugs" rather than influential figures. He announced plans to transform the area into a "Bang Tao Sandbox" model, which aims to return state land to citizens for legitimate use.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul led a delegation of senior officials and security personnel to Bang Tao Beach in the Choeng Thale Subdistrict of Phuket. The visit was part of efforts to resolve issues related to public land encroachment and intimidation of local residents. The Prime Minister, expressing concern over reports of harassment by unscrupulous individuals, stressed that the government would not tolerate such behavior.

Prime Minister Anutin conveyed his commitment to protecting citizens from harassment and urged residents to report any intimidation to local authorities. He warned that any official failing to fulfill their duties would face consequences. The Prime Minister also addressed the issue of unauthorized structures and fraudulent lease agreements, emphasizing the government's intent to restore order without hampering legitimate livelihoods.
