Bangkok: The Prime Minister has ordered the cancellation of the investigation into a problematic batch of local government officials. This decision comes amid a corruption scandal linked to the local government civil service examination conducted by the Ministry of Interior. In light of these developments, the Prime Minister has called an urgent meeting with relevant parties to explore ways to address the situation.
According to Thai News Agency, the Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has admitted that some civil servants were involved in the corruption scandal. The NACC is currently expediting the investigation to uncover more details. However, despite these efforts, the Prime Minister has decided to cancel all investigation results concerning the problematic group of local government officials.
