Bangkok: The Prime Minister convened an urgent meeting at Government House aimed at expediting legal action against individuals implicated in corruption during local government examinations.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, along with Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, summoned key officials including Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Teerapat Khachamat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. The meeting, held at Building Thai Khu Fah, focused on advancing the investigation and ensuring that those responsible for corruption in the local government examinations are brought to justice.
The Prime Minister's initiative aims to overhaul the civil service recruitment examination system to prevent future incidents of corruption. The meeting also explored strategies to prosecute and revoke the appointments of civil servants found guilty of such misconduct.
