Bangkok: The Prime Minister deflected questions about the resignation of the Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking Department after he was transferred to the position of Inspector-General, referring the question to Suriya. According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul commented on the resignation of Rachen Silapraya, former Director-General of the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation, before his term ended, after being transferred to the position of Inspector-General. Silapraya cited his inability to respond to political policies as the reason. The Prime Minister stated that the question should be directed to Suriya Jungrungruangkit, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, as he is responsible for that ministry.
When asked about the major drama currently unfolding between the Director-General and the Minister of Agriculture, the Prime Minister reiterated that the question should be directed to Mr. Suriya regarding the origins of the situation.
When reporters tried to ask if a third party was involved, the Prime Minister declined to answer and immediately left.
