Prime Minister Drives National AI Action Plan to Bolster Thailand’s Global Competitiveness

Bangkok: The Prime Minister chaired a crucial meeting to propel the National AI Action Plan, establishing guidelines to prepare Thailand for development and international competition.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, led the 1/2568 meeting of the National AI Action Plan Committee for Thailand Development. She highlighted the rapid changes in the world and acknowledged the challenges Thailand has faced over the past decade, with growth figures remaining relatively slow. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of artificial intelligence and modern technology, asserting that these advancements are critical to enhancing the country’s competitive edge globally.

To address this, the National AI Committee has been formed to guide AI development across various sectors. This initiative marks a pivotal step for Thailand to advance strategically in AI. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of educating citizens to better understand AI and adapt to global advancements, positioning it as a key driver for the nation’s future growth and competitiveness.
