Bangkok: The Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the National Budget Committee, underscoring the importance of cost-effectiveness and avoiding duplication in budget preparation. In this pivotal meeting, the Prime Minister set the direction for the committee's work, stressing that budget preparation must prioritize necessity, reduce redundancy, and utilize resources in the most efficient manner possible.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul also led the first meeting of the Integrated Area-Based Management Policy Committee (IAAMPC). This meeting aimed to set the strategic direction amidst challenges arising from various situations, including economic issues and conflicts, notably in the energy sector. A key focus was on managing necessary budgets, reducing duplication, and maximizing resource utilization.
The discussions also highlighted the need for budget support for essential and revenue-generating projects. The 2027 budget preparation should adhere to principles aimed at reducing duplication of efforts. The approach seeks to improve citizens' quality of life, create jobs, promote tourism, and ensure income distribution throughout the economy.
