Bangkok: The Prime Minister will hold discussions with the economic team to prepare for issuing an emergency decree to borrow 500 billion baht. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul stated that discussions with economic ministers and relevant agencies regarding preparations for issuing an emergency decree for borrowing funds revealed that there are still legal procedures to be followed. He emphasized that everything must be done in accordance with regulations, the law, the Constitution, and benefit the country and its people.

According to Thai News Agency, regarding the amount of the loan prepared, and whether it remains within the 500 billion baht limit, the Prime Minister stated that a budget framework has been set, but the actual amount to be used will be determined later. When pressed further on whether the limit was 500 billion baht, the Prime Minister replied, "Around that amount."
