Prime Minister Hands Over Clarification on Bhumjaithai Party Issues to Anutin

Bangkok: The Prime Minister passed the microphone to “Anutin” to clarify the internal problems in the Bhumjaithai Party regarding the differences in the entertainment complex. “Sia Nu” quickly declined to answer separately. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister emphasized that it was a policy announced to the parliament, asking the leaders of the coalition parties to order the MPs to understand the people. He said, “Don’t lead or it may not pass. Let the parliament work first.” He explained that it is beneficial for both collecting taxes and hiring.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, gave an interview about the progress of the entertainment complex. She ordered MPs to make the public understand while the poll results and society thought that it would not pass the parliament’s consideration. She said not to suggest whether it would pass or not. She instructed Pheu Thai MPs to go to the area to make the public understand, emphasizing that the entertainment complex is something new for the country. She noted that Japan has successfully implemented such a project, and the public must be informed that it is an investment from foreign private companies, benefiting the government through tax collection and job creation.

The Prime Minister highlighted that whether the proposal will pass the parliament is a matter for the parliament to decide. MPs must ensure the public understands the nature of the operations and address any misunderstandings. This is crucial because it is a policy announced to the parliament, and continuous understanding and public feedback are necessary.

When asked about seeking cooperation from coalition party leaders to urge their MPs to help explain the policy, the Prime Minister confirmed that discussions had taken place with all coalition parties on how to communicate effectively. Each party has its own communication methods.

Concerning potential opposition in parliament, the Prime Minister remarked that there was still time to address issues, as the session had not yet opened. The government believes that the proposal holds significant benefits for the country.

During the press conference, when the Prime Minister was asked about resolving the issue with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, he humorously passed the microphone toward Anutin. However, Mr. Anutin, standing beside the Prime Minister, smiled and refused to answer, preferring to give an interview outside.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the matter was not problematic, as discussions with Mr. Anutin had already taken place, and the policy was jointly announced to the parliament.

After the press conference, reporters inquired why Mr. Anutin did not respond to the question in front of the Prime Minister. Mr. Anutin simply smiled at the media without providing an answer.
