Bangkok: Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra returned to Thailand after an official visit to Cambodia, arriving at the Military Airport 2, Wing 6, at 3:20 p.m., an hour ahead of schedule. The Prime Minister promptly engaged in a closed-door meeting with Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, and Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, the National Police Chief, which lasted approximately one hour.
According to Thai News Agency, upon his return, the Prime Minister was approached by reporters seeking clarification on the progress of tariff negotiations with the United States. The Prime Minister refrained from further comments, stating that he had already addressed the matter in an interview with TV Channel 5. Despite additional queries from the media, the Prime Minister chose not to elaborate and swiftly departed.
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who accompanied the Prime Minister on the visit to Cambodia, also declined to comment on rumors of a cabinet reshuffle. Reports suggested that during the Cambodia trip, the Prime Minister assured Anutin that no reshuffle would occur. When pressed by the media, Anutin responded with a laugh and a shake of his head before leaving the scene.
