Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited the Lotus Supermarket at the Bang Kapi branch to inspect the progress of the "Thai Helps Thai" measures, aimed at alleviating the cost of living pressures due to the ongoing energy crisis.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister's visit focused on evaluating the consumer goods price reduction program, which has been introduced as a relief measure for those affected by rising oil prices. Mr. Anutin assessed the prices of fresh food, rice, and other essential goods, and engaged with business operators and department store representatives to discuss fair pricing strategies.
The shopping mall experienced a high volume of shoppers, with many arriving early in the morning. The Prime Minister took the opportunity to interact informally with the public, gathering feedback on the economic situation and the effectiveness of government measures. The response from the public was largely positive, as many expressed that the price reduction program had made it easier to manage their household budgets.
