Prime Minister Launches ‘Thai Help Thai Plus’ to Boost Food Delivery Sector

Bangkok: The Prime Minister has officially launched the "Thai Help Thai Plus Food Delivery" initiative, aiming to integrate food delivery platforms to boost consumer spending. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spearheaded the event, alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, held at the Santi Maitri Building's central hall.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas emphasized the project's primary goal of alleviating living costs for the public. The event saw the introduction of the Krung Thai Bank's AI "Whispering Bird" device, designed to support merchants involved in the "Thai Help Thai Plus" project by aiding in sales expansion and cost analysis. This initiative targets small retailers burdened by rising costs due to Middle Eastern developments.

Several online platforms, such as GrabFood, LINE MAN, ShopeeFood, and Robinhood, were launched as part of the project. These platforms are expected to aid businesses by broadening their market reach beyond local boundaries, which has historically hindered sales growth. Previous initiatives like the "Kon La Khrueng" (Half-Half) project have demonstrated sales surges of 100-200%, inspiring confidence in the current endeavor's potential impact. The project encourages small businesses to embrace online sales as an opportunity for upskilling and reskilling, with the AI "Nok Krassip" (Whispering Bird) providing analytical support.

Businesses participating in the Thai Help Thai Plus program have the choice of platforms to utilize, including those already using the "Thung Ngern" (Money Bag) application, now compatible with Nok Krassip. For businesses yet to join the program or those unfamiliar with online sales, platform providers will offer training to facilitate their transition into the digital marketplace.
