Prime Minister Monitors Thai-Cambodian Border Situation

Bangkok: The Prime Minister arrived at Government House to inspect the Thai-Cambodian border, focusing on the security concerns and potential smuggling activities in the region. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to addressing border issues with urgency and precision.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, who also serves as Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, engaged in discussions at Government House following his appearance on the television program “Karmakorn Khao Khui Nok Jor” (News Worker’s Off-Screen Talk). He invited Mr. Chatchai Bangchawad, Secretary-General of the National Security Council, to provide a detailed report on the current situation at the border, despite Mr. Bangchawad being on leave. The focus is on the finalization of measures to intercept the smuggling of military supplies by sea.

The Prime Minister is set to preside over a National Security Council meeting tomorrow. The meeting will focus on monitoring the border situation and considering proposals for military operations, particularly the strategic interception of maritime transport of military supplies.

In addition, the Prime Minister tasked Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, with delivering a special address at a seminar entitled ‘Thailand Confidence 2026: Driving Confidence Towards the Future.’ The seminar will take place at True Digital Park in the Huai Khwang District of Bangkok at 9:00 AM.
