Prime Minister Participates in Upskill-Reskill Event for Half-Half Plus Shops

Bangkok: The Prime Minister took part in a public relations initiative for the Upskill-Reskill project aimed at merchants involved in the Half-Half Plus program. The event was attended by key government figures including Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanpraphat, Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isaraphakdi, and Deputy Minister of Interior Sakda Wichiensilp.

According to Thai News Agency, the Cabinet is focused on boosting the capabilities of merchants in the Half-Half Plus project, which targets up to 400,000 merchants. These merchants have the opportunity to enhance their skills by participating in one or more development programs from November 19 to December 19, 2025. Options include joining a food delivery platform, completing online training from the Government Savings Bank, or fulfilling the Department of Business Development’s online training criteria.

The first 400,000 stores that fulfill the required criteria will qualify for a 20 percent government subsidy on their sales from the Half-Half Plus project. This funding is capped at 2,000 baht per store and is contingent on the successful completion of the skills development program by December 19, 2025. Winners will be announced on December 23, 2025, through the Tung Ngern application and SMS, with the subsidy being transferred on December 25, 2025, via Krungthai Bank accounts linked to the Tung Ngern app.

During the event, the Prime Minister visited various booths, including those of the Government Savings Bank, the Department of Business Development, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency, and food delivery services such as Grab, Lineman, Robinhood, and ShopeeFood.
