Bangkok: The Prime Minister of Thailand conducted a thorough inspection of the lawn in front of the Khu Fah Building in preparation for the official visit of Min Aung Hlaing, the President of Myanmar, scheduled for tomorrow.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul personally oversaw the arrangements for the welcoming ceremony of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. The President of Myanmar is set to visit Thailand on August 6-7. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing preparations and sought feedback from reporters. He confirmed that a red carpet would be rolled out for the official reception before resuming his duties at Government House.
As per the schedule for August 6, 2026, the day will commence with a ceremonial inspection of the honor guard at 10:20 AM in front of the Thai Khu Fah Building. This will be followed by a joint photo session and the signing of the guest book at 10:30 AM. A small group meeting will then take place in the Ivory Room, followed by a 4-eyes discussion in the meeting room on the 2nd floor. A full group meeting is scheduled in the Green Room, after which the leaders will witness the signing of agreements and exchange of memoranda of understanding. A ceremonial handover of assistance will also occur at the Santi Maitri Building. The day will conclude with a dinner hosted by the Prime Minister at the same venue.
