Bangkok: The Prime Minister of Thailand is set to visit Nan Province and later travel to Ubon Ratchathani after completing his official trip to Australia and New Zealand. The visits aim to address the flood situation and show support for injured soldiers.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, is currently in Australia and New Zealand. The trip seeks to boost trade and investment cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations. Despite being abroad, the Prime Minister has been actively monitoring the flood situation in Thailand, with a focus on Nan Province. He has directed relevant agencies to expedite relief efforts for the affected residents and is preparing to visit the region immediately upon his return.

The spokesperson confirmed that the Prime Minister is expected to arrive back in Thailand on Saturday evening. He plans to head to Nan Province on Sunday morning to assess the flood situation firsthand and gather information on local needs to facilitate rapid post-flood recovery efforts.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will proceed to Ubon Ratchathani Province to visit soldiers who were severely injured by a landmine on August 17th in the Chong An Ma area, Nam Yuen District. His visit aims to provide encouragement and support to the injured humanitarian mine clearance personnel.
