Phuket: The Prime Minister assured residents of Freedom Beach that there will be no more intimidation, urging them to continue their lives as usual. Anutin Charnvirakul visited the area, offering apologies for the delay in addressing the issue and promising action against those responsible.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the Minister of Interior, arrived at Phuket International Airport before traveling by helicopter to Freedom Beach in the Patong Subdistrict to oversee arrests related to the encroachment on public beach areas. The Governor of Phuket has since enforced strict measures, leading to 23 legal cases.

Residents expressed their ongoing concerns about influential figures in the area and sought reassurance from the Prime Minister, who responded with an apology for the delayed action. He emphasized his commitment to resolving the issue, stating that the influence of such figures would end immediately.
The Prime Minister reiterated that state land would remain protected and that the government would assist in repairing homes affected by land encroachment. Anutin Charnvirakul assured that security forces would be deployed to ensure the safety of the community, promising that those who have misused their power would face legal consequences.
