Prime Minister Yet to Speak with Pirapan Amid Qualification Investigation Concerns

Bangkok: The Prime Minister has not yet spoken to “Pirapan” after being asked to investigate his qualifications, insisting that the process is strict after the “Settha government” had an accident, saying that he was surprised by the news of the cabinet reshuffle, feeling sorry for the ministers who were pitied, emphasizing that he has not thought about it yet, before teasing the media that the future must be asked of a fortune teller.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra addressed the concerns surrounding Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, who is under scrutiny regarding his qualifications. She dismissed fears that this investigation could mirror the issues faced during Mr. Settha Thavisin’s tenure as Prime Minister. Ms. Shinawatra emphasized that the investigative process is thorough and has been historically rigorous, involving the Office of the Secretariat of the Cabinet. She highlighted that all officials, including herself, have undergone stringent checks, particularly regarding their asset accounts.

In response to questions about whether she has communicated with Mr. Pirapan, the Prime Minister mentioned that she has not had the opportunity due to his absence from today’s Cabinet meeting. However, she expressed confidence that there will not be any significant issues, given the strict scrutiny applied to Cabinet appointments following the Settha government’s incident.

The Prime Minister also addressed rumors regarding a potential cabinet reshuffle, noting that such speculations have disrupted the work of some ministers. During a press conference alongside her ministers, she expressed surprise at the reshuffle rumors, particularly regarding the transfer of Deputy Phumtham Vejjayachai to another ministry. She emphasized that the idea of a reshuffle has not crossed her mind and clarified that no changes have been planned. The Prime Minister urged the public and media to support the Cabinet as they navigate both domestic and global crises.

When questioned about potential reshuffling principles and coalition party requests, the Prime Minister humorously suggested consulting a fortune teller for future decisions. She noted that no current changes have been made and refrained from commenting further on the matter.
