Prime Minister’s Upcoming Songkhla Visit Amid Unaddressed Hat Yai District Chief Transfer

Songkhla: The Prime Minister is set to visit the Songkhla province following the announcement of flood relief measures. During this visit, the Prime Minister notably chose not to engage with questions regarding the transfer of the Hat Yai District Chief.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, confirmed his plans to visit the Hat Yai District to assess the flooding situation. When asked for more details, he mentioned he would be returning to a meeting shortly, without elaborating further.

During the press interaction, reporters inquired about the emergence of bodies after floodwaters receded and the reasons behind the transfer of the Hat Yai District Chief. However, the Prime Minister refrained from addressing these questions.

Reporters persisted in questioning whether the transfer was linked to the District Chief’s alleged failure to implement government orders. The Prime Minister reiterated that he would be attending another meeting, providing no additional comments on the matter.
