Narathiwat: The commander of Narathiwat Task Force met with a group of civil society organizations to discuss promoting peace with the philosophy of sufficiency economy.
According to Thai News Agency, at the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Learning Center in Narathiwat Province, Maj. Gen. Yod-awut Phuengpak, Commander of Narathiwat Task Force, traveled to meet with the Civil Society Organization for Peace and Sufficiency Economy in the Southern Border Provinces, also known as the “Green Shirts.”
The Green Shirts are a network of citizens from all 13 districts and 77 sub-districts of Narathiwat Province. Their shared goal is to adopt the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, a royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. This philosophy serves as a way of life aimed at strengthening communities and promoting peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society.
During this meeting, the Narathiwat Task Force Commander exchanged views and supported the Green Shirts’ initiatives, fostering cooperation between the government and the public to create a peaceful and sustainable society. He emphasized the importance of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in improving the quality of life, employment, and income, which in turn supports family stability and community unity.
Narathiwat Task Force plans to continue supporting civil society activities to build strong mass networks and drive sustainable peace, under the concept “Local unity is the foundation of true peace.”
