Bangkok: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) held the PTTEP Knowledge Management Week 2026 (KM Week 2026) to exchange knowledge and innovations and drive national energy security.
According to Thai News Agency, KM Week 2026, held under the theme "Energy Security in an Era of Global Uncertainty," underscores the pivotal role of national energy security in fostering economic development and enhancing the quality of life amidst global volatility and uncertainty. The event provided a significant platform for sharing knowledge, technology, and innovation among PTT EP, the government sector, private sector companies, and educational institutions.
The event featured a special lecture titled "Energy Holistics: Communicating Energy Before It Becomes a Crisis," along with special presentations and panel discussions by executives and experts from both the public and private sectors. These discussions were aimed at exchanging strategic insights and ideas to tackle the challenges posed by a rapidly changing world. A total of 267 academic papers authored by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTT EP) employees were presented, covering fields such as geosciences, engineering and operations, and business operations.
An exhibition highlighted various technologies, the Center of Excellence in Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering, digital innovations under the DigitalX project, and technologies designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs in managing natural gas resources in the Gulf of Thailand. Notable examples included the reuse of decommissioned production platforms and strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to bolster national energy security and promote sustainable growth.
