Public Pays Respects to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit at Grand Palace

Bangkok: People gathered at the Sahathai Samakhom Pavilion in the Grand Palace to pay their respects and sign their condolences in front of a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, acknowledging her graciousness.

According to Thai News Agency, attendees included teachers and students from Suankularb Wittayalai School, members of the 2nd Cavalry Division, the King’s Guard, executives from the Government Savings Bank, the National Office of Buddhism, and students from Sitabutr Bamrung School. His Majesty the King graciously provided a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and an image of the royal urn housed in the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall for those signing their condolences.

The Bureau of the Royal Household has announced that the public can continue to pay their respects and sign condolences in front of the King’s portrait at the Sahathai Samakhom Pavilion daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until November 8, 2025. After the 15-day merit-making ceremony, public respects will be allowed at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall starting November 9, 2025.
