Bangkok: The Rak Chart Party is actively campaigning in Bangkok, showcasing Vivi Suwira as the face of a clean political initiative. Professor Jetsada Tonawanik and Mr. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, key figures of the Rak Chart Party, are leading this campaign, emphasizing the need for Thailand to assert its position on disputed territorial claims with Cambodia.
According to Thai News Agency, the Rak Chart Party's campaign team, spearheaded by Associate Professor Jetsada Tonawanik, the prime minister candidate, and Mr. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, the party leader and fellow prime minister candidate, visited Prachaniwet 1 Market in Lad Yao Subdistrict, Chatuchak District. Their mission was to support Ms. Suveera Termrungruanglert, known as Vivi, who is contesting for Bangkok Constituency 8. They were joined by list candidates Mr. Tassanai Thongmee, Mr. Rawee Lauhapoonrangsi, and Mr. Thars Pojanaprapan. The party leaders reiterated their dedication to clean politics and safeguarding national sovereignty, engaging with vendors and the public to discuss pressing issues like the cost of living, traffic congestion, public transportation, and land demarcation.
Associate Professor Jetsada highlighted the importance of fieldwork, noting that insights gained from direct public interaction would shape the party's policy revisions to address local needs effectively. He stressed the desire for clean politics and genuine development, steering clear of representatives seeking personal gain.
In addressing international relations, Associate Professor Jetsada called for Thailand to assert its historical territorial rights, rejecting conflict but standing firm on the international stage to defend sovereignty. He emphasized clear communication with the global community regarding Thailand's longstanding non-aggressive stance and the importance of defining borders before engaging in transparent negotiations.
Mr. Chaiwut urged voters to focus on ideology over party size, suggesting that smaller parties with strong values could better scrutinize government actions. He assured that such parties would remain independent and dedicated to enacting legislation that truly benefits the populace.
