Rodtang Prepares for Title Fight Against Takeru Segawa in Tokyo

Tokyo: Rodtang Jitmuangnon has traveled to Japan for his fight against Takeru Segawa. The former ONE Muay Thai Flyweight World Champion departed for Japan to prepare for his ONE Kickboxing interim flyweight title fight against Japanese fighter Takeru Segawa.

According to Thai News Agency, Rodtang was warmly greeted by his family, including his wife Aida Luksaikongdin (Kulnat Yoohangao) and son "Nong Zlatan," as he left for Japan. The highly anticipated fight is set to take place in the main event of ONE Samurai 1 for the interim ONE Kickboxing Flyweight belt at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Wednesday, April 29th. Before his departure, Rodtang expressed his determination by stating, "I will bring victory back for all the Thai people."

In light of recent tensions between Rodtang and ONE, "Big Plai" Jitinat Asdamongkol, President of ONE Thailand, conveyed appreciation towards Somjit Waenkaew and "So Ae" Suntree Lohapuech, Rodtang's legal manager and his agency, as well as General Suchart Daengprapai, former Lumpinee Stadium chairman and advisor to ONE Thailand. These individuals played crucial roles in facilitating discussions between involved parties, following a press conference on Sunday. The ongoing negotiations are reportedly progressing smoothly and positively, aiming for a fair resolution for all parties after April 29th. ONE maintains that all past actions concerning athlete contracts have been conducted correctly and transparently.
