Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) is set to organize its annual National Children's Day events in 2026, offering children and youth the opportunity to support the country's fighter pilots. The RTAF has announced its preparedness for the event, which will include aerial demonstrations and stringent security measures, expecting to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees.
According to Thai News Agency, the event locations in Bangkok will remain consistent with previous years, taking place at Squadron 601, the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, and the Thung Si Kan airfield. However, activities at Wing 1 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Wing 3 in Sa Kaeo, Wing 4 in Chiang Mai, Wing 7 in Surat Thani, and Wing 21 in Ubon Ratchathani will be canceled. This is due to the necessity for the fighter aircraft stationed at these locations to remain in a state of constant readiness.
An RTAF spokesperson highlighted that the aerial demonstrations planned for Children's Day are distinct from regular air operations. These demonstrations will feature aircraft flying at low altitudes to provide spectators with a clear view. The event will also serve as a platform for attendees to express their support for soldiers fulfilling their duties, particularly in border areas.
