Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army announced that they have apprehended those involved in seizing Ta Kwai Temple. The Army has successfully secured the temple, but operations are still underway to capture Hill 350 and the surrounding area. The Army Commander-in-Chief has instructed personnel to operate cautiously to minimize unnecessary casualties.
According to Thai News Agency, Major General Winthai Suvari, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Army, revealed that the Army had received a report from the 2nd Army Area regarding the fighting situation. The report stated that Cambodian soldiers had been successfully pushed out of the area around “Ta Kwai Temple,” and the area is now under control. However, key targets surrounding the temple, particularly Hill 350 and nearby vantage points, remain under operation to secure control according to the strategic plan.
The army spokesman also stated that the Cambodian side has retaliated by continuously attacking the area with all types of weapons, aiming to destroy Thai forces and attempting to reclaim the territory. Therefore, the situation remains precarious and requires extreme caution in all operations.
General Phana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, has been closely monitoring this important operation and has instructed the relevant units to proceed with caution in order to prevent and minimize injuries and losses among personnel as much as possible.
