Rushing to Check CCTV Footage After Collision Involving Three Luxury Cars Leaves Only Wreckage

Bangkok: Police are urgently searching for CCTV footage after a collision involving three luxury cars, which resulted in a fire that left only wreckage. The incident has raised questions about whether the ‘supercar-Benz’ was racing at the time of the crash.

According to Thai News Agency, the accident involved three cars and occurred in the middle of the night near Soi Boromratchonnanee 76, on Boromratchonnanee Road in the Sala Thammasop Subdistrict, Thawi Watthana District. The vehicles involved were a white Ferrari, a black Mercedes-Benz, and a gray Toyota Vigo Champ pickup truck, all of which sustained significant damage.

The news team visited the scene and observed fire marks on the road. Five traffic cones were placed by officers to secure the area. A nearby gas station employee reported hearing a loud crash followed by shouting and emergency lights. However, due to the late hour, he did not investigate immediately. By morning, it became clear that a three-car accident had caused a fire, resulting in severe damage to the cars.

The investigation officer at Thammasala Police Station stated that upon arrival at the scene, all three vehicles were already damaged. The pickup truck driver, who was questioned, claimed he was struck by another car, causing him to lose control and flip over. The drivers of the Benz and Ferrari reportedly fled the scene, and it was later discovered that the Ferrari driver sustained minor injuries but refused hospital treatment.

Authorities are now coordinating with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to obtain CCTV footage to determine the cause of the accident. They are also seeking to identify and question the owners of the Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz to proceed with the legal process.
