Bangkok: Sabida Thaiset, after being appointed to the “Culture” committee, has addressed concerns regarding religious restrictions, asserting that they can be differentiated with identifiable points for discussion.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sabida, a former Deputy Minister of the Interior, spoke about her nomination as Minister of Culture under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s administration. She expressed her surprise at the nomination and addressed concerns about potential religious restrictions, questioning their existence. She emphasized that distinctions can be made and certain aspects can be addressed.
When questioned about her plans concerning the Pheu Thai Party’s soft power policy, Ms. Sabida indicated uncertainty regarding her future ministerial role, stating she was not yet aware of where she would be serving as a minister.
