Bangkok: The Sangha Supreme Council gathered for a meeting at Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Key members present included Somdej Phra Thiranyanamuni of Wat Thepsirin, Somdej Phra Buddhacarya and Somdej Phra Maha Ratchamangkhonmuni of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, Somdej Phra Maha Thirajarn of Wat Phra Chetuphon, and Somdej Phra Mahawirawong of Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting also saw the attendance of Mr. Inthaporn Chan-aim, Director of the National Office of Buddhism, and Professor Emeritus Thongthong Chandrangsu, Advisor to the Supreme Sangha Council. The media was keen to learn if the council would introduce any additional agenda items pertaining to the management of temple funds and guidelines for addressing monk misconduct. A press conference was anticipated following the meeting to provide further insights.
