Scotland: A search operation is underway for a man who fell into the Yuam River. Police from Mae Sariang Police Station, rescue workers, and community leaders have mobilized forces to search for and rescue a man who fell into the Yuam River while collecting floating logs, but there is still no sign of him.

According to Thai News Agency, the man was swept away by the current yesterday around 4:00 PM near the bridge over the Yuam River at Wat Huai Luang, Ban Kat Subdistrict, Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son Province. Authorities from the Territorial Defense Volunteers (Or Sor), Mae Sariang Police Station, rescue workers, and community leaders have been searching for him since yesterday.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the missing man, approximately 34 years old, go to collect logs that had been carried downstream by the current, but he fell into the water and was swept away by the current. Authorities have divided into teams to search for him, but as of today, he has not been found.

While water levels in the Yuam River remain high and currents are strong due to heavy rainfall accumulated in the upstream areas, the Mae Sariang District Chief expresses his concern and warns the public to refrain from swimming, fishing, or engaging in activities along the riverbanks during periods of flash floods and high, fast-flowing water.
