Security Guard Arrested for Attempted Rape After Breaking Into Resident’s Home

Bang bua thong: A woman reported being burglarized three times by a security guard who broke into her house at night with the intention of rape. Police arrested the suspect, who confessed to having liked the victim for a long time. The security company, however, denied responsibility, claiming the incidents had not yet occurred.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from approximately 00:30 on June 23rd captured a man, dressed in a uniform resembling a security guard for a well-known housing estate in the Bang Bua Thong area, climbing in through a window. He then walked around inside the victim's house before going upstairs to the second floor and attempting to open the bedroom door. Startled, the victim checked the security camera footage on her mobile phone and discovered the stranger inside. She screamed for help, and upon realizing she was being watched, the suspect quickly climbed out the window and fled.

Ms. Ning, 26, the victim, recounted that the incident occurred around 12:22 AM on the night of June 23rd. While she was sleeping in her bedroom, she heard the burglar alarm go off. She quickly checked the CCTV footage and saw a security guard from the village walking around her house on the first floor. Terrified, she climbed out of her second-floor window, shouted for help, and immediately called the building management for assistance. The perpetrator then climbed out of the window and escaped.

"I had never seen the security guard who committed the crime. I assume he was on the night shift," Ms. Ning stated. She also mentioned that her neighbors had warned her about the guard's strange behavior, leading her to observe him closely. She realized he had been in her house two or three times before, but there was no CCTV installed back then. Concerned for her safety, she subsequently installed CCTV cameras. "I don't want to think about what might have happened if I had gone downstairs to get a drink of water that night," she added.

The security company has denied any responsibility, claiming ignorance of the incidents. Meanwhile, police investigations continue as the community remains on alert.
