Sek Loso Transferred to Khao Kling Temporary Prison for Imminent Parole

Bangkok: Sek Loso, the renowned rock singer, has been transferred from Min Buri Special Prison to Khao Kling Temporary Prison as he nears eligibility for general parole following an incarceration period exceeding eight months. This transfer marks a significant step towards his anticipated release.

According to Thai News Agency, the transfer was announced by Kan Wiphakorn, Sek Loso's wife, who shared her sentiments on social media about his impending move. On January 20, 2026, she posted a picture with a hopeful message indicating the last day at Min Buri Special Prison and the subsequent transfer to Khao Kling Open Prison. This news was met with a wave of supportive comments from fans, eager for Sek Loso's return.

The backstory of Sek Loso's imprisonment began on May 20, 2025, when the Min Buri Criminal Court delivered the Supreme Court's amended verdict. He was charged with resisting arrest, drug use, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, leading to a sentence of two years, 12 months, and 20 days. Since then, he has served over eight months at Min Buri Special Prison.

Reporters have gathered information from the Department of Corrections, indicating that Sek Loso's eligibility for the pre-release preparation program prompted his transfer to Khao Kling Temporary Prison in Phetchaburi Province. This program is designed to facilitate a smooth reintegration into society by providing vocational training and other preparatory courses.

The Khao Kling facility operates as an open prison, focusing on rehabilitation through skill-building initiatives. Sek Loso's participation in these programs is mandatory before he can qualify for general parole. Once he completes the required training, he will be considered for conditional release, signaling the final phase of his journey back to freedom.
