Series Organizers Face Backlash Over Payment Delays to Actress Maya Janisa

Bangkok: Actress and host Maya Janisa has taken to social media to demand payment from the organizers of a series, after receiving only 500 baht of the agreed 50,000 baht for the second installment. She also awaits the third installment. Maya has announced that she will resort to legal action if the payments are not settled soon.

According to Thai News Agency, Maya stated that she has consistently attempted to resolve the issue by sending messages, following up, and waiting patiently for the payment as outlined in the contract. However, the payments have been repeatedly delayed, leaving her no choice but to publicly address the matter. She emphasized that the discrepancy between the received amount and the agreed-upon payment is significant, and that there remains a large outstanding balance which is now several months overdue. Maya has called upon the contracting parties to fulfill their financial obligations promptly, as her legal team is currently compiling the necessary documentation to pursue further action if the situation remains unresolved.

Maya updated her followers, emphasizing her commitment to transparency. She explained that she has starred in a series that has been both filmed and aired, yet the full payment has not been made as per the contract. The payment issue has persisted for 5-6 months, with an arrangement to divide the payment into three installments between August 10th and September 30th. While the first installment has been received in full, the second installment of 50,000 baht, due on September 10th, 2025, was only partially paid with 500 baht on November 16th. The third installment, due on September 30th, 2025, is still outstanding.
