Bangkok: "Seripisut" is preparing to gather signatures from the opposition to submit a petition to the Constitutional Court to impeach Anutin and Chaijanok. He exposed a plan to control three ministries, whitewashing land encroachment and siphoning funds to support the racetrack. He sarcastically remarked that if they don't dare sign off on it, they're just a waiting party. He is also preparing to go to Buriram to file a complaint against the Chidchob family for land encroachment.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyaves, a Member of Parliament (MP) on the party-list and leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, held a press conference regarding the submission of a petition to the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The aim is to refer the matter to the Constitutional Court for a ruling on the qualifications of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaiyanok Chidchob. The grounds for this are unethical conduct and unsuitability for their positions. Seripisut is collecting signatures as the Constitution requires at least 50 representatives, while the Seri Ruam Thai Party has only one MP. He is seeking cooperation from other opposition parties and mentioned recent discussions with leaders of the Democrat Party, the Thai Ruam Palang Party, the Kla Tham Party, and the Prachachon Party to assist in signing the petition.
Pol. Gen. Seripisut expressed his determination to impeach Anutin and Chaiyanok, citing completed evidence on the Khao Kradong land case. He highlighted issues of public funds being used for the MotoGP World Championship since 2018 and the illegal seminar held in the contested area. He emphasized his focus on the Khao Kradong land case first, as the evidence is comprehensive.
Seripisut criticized those who support unethical governance and cited legal precedent where even minor lawbreakers face prosecution. He presented a map and documentation proving the land belongs to the State Railway of Thailand and described the legal proceedings that have already occurred, questioning the Department of Land's control under Anutin's influence.
The case involves an agreement between Chai Chidchob and Yuk Jeeraphan over quarry operations on railway land. Despite Chai's admission of guilt and compensation to Yuk, the land title remains unrevoked. Seripisut noted this as evidence of unethical conduct and detailed how political influence has obstructed justice in land-related issues.
Seripisut outlined the strategic interests of the Bhumjaithai Party in controlling key ministries, such as Tourism and Sports, Transport, and Interior, to support personal interests, including those of Newin Chidchob. The manipulation of these ministries, he argued, violates ethical standards and disqualifies them from ministerial positions under Sections 160 and 170.
Addressing Chaiyanok's involvement, Seripisut pointed out conflicts of interest due to his land ownership and ministerial role, highlighting undeclared assets related to racetracks and stadiums, which he deemed illegal and grounds for removal from office.
Pol. Gen. Seripisut expressed confidence in obtaining the necessary signatures, despite potential delays from MPs unfamiliar with the legal intricacies. He reiterated the national interest at stake and dismissed concerns about political isolation, citing past successes in holding leaders accountable.
He announced plans to submit the case to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for further legal action against Anutin and Chaiyanok for malfeasance and land encroachment. Seripisut also intends to file a police report against the Chidchob family for ongoing land encroachment in Buriram Province.
