Bangkok: "Sihasak" reveals there is still hope of rescuing the 3 Thai crew members; a press conference is expected this evening. Prime Minister Sihasak is preparing to announce updates on the three Thai crew members this evening, stating that there is still hope and revealing that the list of Thai cargo ships has been sent to Iran for consideration regarding their passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Thai News Agency, Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkaew addressed the question of whether Iranian authorities had provided any updates on the rescue of the three Thai crew members aboard the Mayurinaree cruise ship. He stated that he would provide an update this evening, adding that there had been developments but complete information was needed after the afternoon briefing.

Iranian authorities are providing full assistance, and I have spoken with the Iranian Foreign Minister by phone. I also protested the attack on the ship. The vessel is now drifting towards Iranian waters, and the fate of the three crew members is currently unknown. I reiterate that there is progress in the investigation.

Mr. Sihasak also addressed the issue of the safety of cargo ships still pending transit, stating that Iran has taken note of the matter. Thailand has submitted a list of ships that need to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and he believes there should be positive news regarding this.
