Singapore:Authorities have introduced new measures to regulate passenger behavior on public buses, bus stations, and bus terminals, with fines ranging from S$500 to S$5,000 for violators.

According to Thai News Agency, the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) is enforcing these regulations to enhance safety and order to match the standards applied to the rail network. The fines, effective from September 23, target behaviors such as playing loud music or videos without headphones, placing feet on seats, eating, drinking, and littering.

Minor offenses, causing nuisance to other passengers, may result in fines up to S$500. More severe penalties, up to S$5,000, apply for actions causing serious damage, obstructing aisles, or endangering passengers, as well as for actions affecting infrastructure, cleanliness, or public safety.

Authorized officials like bus inspectors and station officers can issue violation notices, which are reviewed by the LTA. Bus drivers, while not issuing fines, can instruct disruptive passengers to leave the bus. The new rules aim to standardize passenger conduct across Singapore's public transport systems.
