SITE 2026 Launch: Thailand to Attract Global Investment and Partnerships

Bangkok: Launching the investment game of the year, SITE 2026, to attract capital, technology, and global partners to Thailand. SITE 2026, the investment event of the year, launches, attracting capital, technology, and global partners to Thailand from June 25-27, 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, the National Innovation Agency (NIA) announced the organization of SITE 2026, under the theme "Global Innovation Impact: The Year of Investment," which will be held from June 25-27, 2026, at Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon Shopping Center. Dr. Kritphaka Boonfueng, Director of the NIA, stated that this year's SITE 2026 will transition from a mere networking platform to one focused on tangible results. Building upon last year's emphasis on networking and collaboration, this year aims to drive these networks towards investment, new collaborations, and real business opportunities. This includes attracting foreign investment, supporting the growth of Thai entrepreneurs, and opening doors to regional and international markets.

The NIA positions SITE 2026 as a key mechanism for driving Thai innovation towards global impact through five core pillars: Frontier Tech and Future Industries, Investment-Ready Innovation, Global Connectivity, Multiplier Effect, and Strategic Alliances. This will connect Thailand with key innovation hubs worldwide and pave the way for Thai startups to establish a stronger presence on the global stage. The NIA Director further stated that the agency also aims for SITE 2026 to create a systemic impact on innovation in five key areas: economic, social, environmental, innovation ecosystem, and global collaboration. This will be achieved through target industries such as AI, Deep Tech, Sustainability, and the Wellness Economy, coupled with innovations ready for practical application in the economic and social sectors.

A key reason why SITE 2026 is themed 'The Year of Investment' is because investment is a crucial mechanism for transforming the potential of Thai innovation into real growth. Recent data shows that in 2025, the value of investment in Thai startups was approximately US$120 million, or around 4 billion baht. Meanwhile, the total amount of available investment in the Thai innovation system exceeds US$1 billion, or more than 32 billion baht. This reflects that 2026 is a crucial period for concretely connecting innovation with funding sources.

For the highlights of SITE 2026 this year, NIA has designed a comprehensive event encompassing the future, investment opportunities, and the Thai ecosystem. This includes world-class seminars and forums, the gathering of 100 future technology startups and 100 ready-to-use innovations, pitch sessions and business matching activities, an International Pavilion, a space for young people through the Startup Thailand League, a hub for government support, new collaborations in design, business, and innovation through SYNC Design and Innovation, and a creative space for inventors, creators, and young people through Maker Faire Bangkok, further enriching the hands-on experience and innovation culture.

In terms of investment, SITE 2026 aims to be the "real investment marketplace" of the year, connecting Thai startups with VCs, CVCs, international investors, and business partners in one event. At the same time, it provides a platform for Thai entrepreneurs to access technology, networks, and cross-border investment opportunities through collaborations with key countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The press conference also featured exhibitions from eight leading startups, showcasing the potential of Thai innovation and the results of leveraging NIA's support mechanisms. These startups include BOTNOI, Family Deaf, Happenn, MUI Robotics, Heal and Soul, Techcare, Zengrowth, and Brain Dynamic.
