Bangkok: The SME Bank is intensifying its relief efforts for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) impacted by the floods in southern provinces by offering a six-month suspension of fees and installment payments.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) has implemented urgent measures aimed at expediting relief for SMEs affected by the severe flooding. These measures include a six-month suspension of fees and installment payments to help customers and debtors revitalize their businesses. The TCG’s efforts are particularly focused on the areas heavily impacted by the flooding, such as Hat Yai in Songkhla Province.
Mr. Sitthikorn Direksunthon, Director and General Manager of TCG, emphasized that the flooding has significantly affected residents, businesses, and entrepreneurs in several southern provinces. To support TCG customers and debtors, two specific assistance measures have been introduced.
The first measure involves the deferment of payment for loan guarantee fees and guarantee management fees. This applies to SMEs whose loans are guaranteed by the SME Bank, with payments originally due between November 14, 2025, and December 15, 2025. These payments will now be postponed for an additional six months from their due date.
The second measure targets debtors who have already had claims paid by the SME Bank and are currently part of a debt restructuring plan. These debtors, who are not in default, will benefit from a six-month suspension of payments. Applications for these relief measures will be accepted from November 14, 2025, to December 15, 2025.
