Songkhla FC Seeks Postponement of League Cup Match Amid Severe Flooding

Songkhla: Songkhla FC has requested the Football Association of Thailand to postpone tomorrow’s League Cup match due to severe flooding affecting the players. The critical situation in Hat Yai has left the Thai League 2 team stranded, with players unable to leave their accommodations.

According to Thai News Agency, Songkhla FC captain Abdulhafiz Nibu shared a story about having to wade through water to procure food, highlighting the dire circumstances faced by the team. This is the second recent request from Songkhla FC for a match postponement, following the cancellation of Sunday’s Thai League 2 match against Chainat Hornbill.

The “Mermaid of Samila” is scheduled to travel to Lopburi City for the Muang Thai Cup playoff round on Wednesday, November 26th at 3:00 PM. Despite concerns about the tight schedule and potential violations of competition regulations, Songkhla FC hopes that both the opposing team and the association will understand and accommodate their request.
